Tom Teerlynck, Managing Partner
Tom Teerlynck brings over 25 years of experience in leading high-stakes negotiations and resolving complex conflicts in international markets. With a strong foundation in law and a career transition into development and investment, Tom has originated, structured, and executed large-scale critical infrastructure projects across Africa, Asia, the Middle East, and Europe.
Throughout his career, Tom has secured successful market entries for global leaders such as ACWA Power (Saudi Arabia), Engie (France), and TAQA (Abu Dhabi). He has structured and negotiated transactions exceeding USD 50 billion in value, working with governments, international finance and development institutions, corporates, contractors and suppliers. His projects have delivered transformative value, fostering sustainable growth in host countries.
Tom’s expertise extends beyond financial, commercial, technical, legal and strategic aspects; he is skilled in managing the behavioral, emotional, and cultural dynamics that influence negotiations and conflict resolution.
He holds a Master of Laws degree from the University of Leuven (Belgium), complemented by studies at the University of Coimbra (Portugal) and an Executive MBA from CEDEP (in collaboration with INSEAD) in Fontainebleau (France). In 2024, Tom completed a Master Negotiation Class at Harvard Law School (USA).
Having lived in Belgium, Portugal, Denmark, Thailand, Türkiye, Morocco, and now the UAE, Tom brings cultural insight to his work. He is fluent in English, Dutch, French, Portuguese, and Danish, and has a good knowledge of Russian, German, Turkish, and Spanish.
